Children Of Bodom!

HUGE fan!

It was no trouble at all for me to decide to do my fandom essay on Bodom! As a fan myself i know just how easy it is to fall for this band in a BIG way and so i had no doubt in my mind that many others have done so too.

This, i thought, would give me plenty to write about in relation to their fan base. Well, i wasnt totally wrong. I have found people who have done some pretty extreme things to support this amazing band but as of yet haven't found anyone willing to answer a few questions.

This is, primarily, due to me and my timidness, too damn shy to ask anyone if they would be happy to talk to me :D

But now, having spent time reading through all the Bodom fan sites and blogs i can find, i'm confident that the fans are, in fact, very approachable and willing to share their love of the band. I'm looking for all types of fans! From those who simply sit back and enjoy the music when it eventually comes up on one of the, disappointingly few, relevant music channels. To the fans who own every album (possibly several copies of each with different bonus material) and would pay any amount of money to see them live, and meet the band at promo signings. And to those fans who, like me, would love to be the latter - if only they had enough money to spend (damn student budgets :D).

Just like it doesn't matter who your favourite member of the band is, or if you don't have one. If, like me, you think Alexi Laiho is, truly, a mind blowing musician and that you would kill to be able to play the keyboards like Janne, i would love to know about it. I would also love to know whether or not you agree that Henkka is sometimes, unfairly overlooked and that Jaska can play the crap outta those drums :D Whether you are a fan from the times of Alexander or whether you joined the band with Roope - it really doesn't matter how different your opinions may be.
